Aluminium-frame off-road caravan specialist Prime Edge is releasing a new entry-level touring van aimed at budget buyers who like to travel mostly on the bitumen and stay in caravan parks.
The new Weekender Special Edition touring range is available in 16 different variants, from 16ft to 22ft body lengths with single or tandem axle, family and couple layouts.
The new Melbourne-built Weekender model shares a similar look and aluminium-framed construction as Prime Edge's off-road models, but has less rugged underpinnings including a Supagal chassis with leaf spring suspension and ball coupling, and minimal off-grid capabilities including twin 95 litre water tanks, 2 x 9kg gas bottles and an 100Ah lithium battery with 200W rooftop solar panel.
Inside, you get a good array of appliances for the price including a four burner cooktop and grille, 170L compressor fridge freezer, microwave, rooftop air conditioner, gas electric hot water and audio and TV entertainment.
Every model including the smallest 16ft couple's van gets a separate shower and toilet, while a top-load washing machine is also included on most variants.
You also get a few premium Prime Edge touches inside including Postform rolled edge benchtops, soft-close drawers and cupboard doors, and a pillowtop mattress.
A full list of standard features is available on the Prime Edge website, or check out the 2025 Weekender Special Edition vans listed for sale on caravancampingsales, currently priced at $93,990 plus on-road costs.
