Queensland's Patriot Campers has dropped a 15 minute Youtube video showcasing some of the features of its latest GEN2 X-range of premium off-road camper trailers which introduces a number of new innovations across the line-up, from 'hands-free' automated set-up to a new construction method that sets "a new global standard for camper trailer manufacturing".
Patriot says the bodies of both X1, X1-N and X3 camper models have been "completely reimagined" for GEN2, with a new CNC-cut aluminium design that boasts a "smooth finish from hard tooled body panels with concealed hinges giving it a sleek and contemporary look".
Patriot says it's building the GEN2 campers with a claimed world-first patent pending 'weld-free' body panel construction that it describes as a "revolutionary method that uses composite components bonded to sheet metal to provide maximum flexibility and strength".
The "aerospace inspired ingenuity" also helps reduce Tare weights which begin at 920kg for the Patriot GEN2 X1-N model.
Patriot says the new-look, moulded composite front and rear ends are as much for aesthetics as improved off-roadability, with the latest models available in either white or graphite colour schemes.
Patriot says the composite hard roof system on GEN2 X1 and X3 variants provides an "almost entirely automated" set-up via remote control, while other user-friendly new features include soft touch buttons replacing all external latches, soft opening locker doors and a new central locking system.
A new lighting and electrical set-up also allows owners to control everything via a smart phone app.
Updated underpinnings on the GEN2 range include a new 'Rigilite' hot dipped gal chassis with longer drawbar and X-Cruise progressive-rate airbag suspension, paired with upgraded 12in electric brakes and 33in mud terrain tyres on new PCOR signature alloy wheels.
Other new GEN2 features include a redesigned rear bar, improved water filtration system, new optional diesel air and water heater, a redesigned external kitchen, new gas bottle access door and Australian-made canvas awning material, and a standard power system that includes two 150Ah batteries and a Redarc 1500W inverter and Rogue manager.
Patriot says the new GEN2 X1 and X3 models are now available for pre-order in Australia, with export models coming soon. Pricing starts at $56,900 for the X1-N (up from $47,590 for the GEN1 version), with the GEN2 X1 priced from $72,900 and the GEN2 X3 from $86,900,
