If you missed out on red roses this Valentine's Day, Queensland's Patriot Campers has the next best thing... a bright red painted, limited-edition version of its bare-boned X1-N bush camper.
Announced on February 14 and available to order until March 31, 2021, the special 'Code Red' X1-N model comes with all the features of the standard X1-N, with the only difference being the bright red, powder coated aluminum body.
Fitted standard with airbag suspension, the stubby X1-N boasts all-aluminium construction to keep the Tare weight to 830kg, along with chunky 33in tyres and 12in drum brakes.
Rather than having a fixed tent as with other versions of the X1, the X1-N features an ‘Exorack’ roof platform that can accommodate a range of optional roof-top tents as well as camping gear like swags and bikes or kayaks, so owners can load up the camper depending on their holiday requirements.
The 'Code Red' option adds $1000 to the standard X1N's $41,990 price tag. For those who'd prefer to blend in rather than stand out in the bush, standard X1-N colours include green and white, with graphite and blue also on the options list.
Like the rest of the Patriot X1 range, the X1-N is now fitted as standard with the cutting-edge PCOR awning from the X3. Patriot's X1-H with remote roof opening also gets a lighter, Raptor-coated lid, among other 2021-model updates.
It's not the first time the Queensland camper builder has given its hard-core X1-N off-roader a stand-out look, following the 1970s 'Starsky and Hutch' retro exterior option released in 2019.
