How do you stand out from dozens of other Australian caravan manufacturers, when you've just started up a new brand in Australia's caravan manufacturing heartland, in Campbellfield in Melbourne's north?
For Pathfinder Caravans, which launched in late-2024 with a three-model range of luxury touring and off-road caravans, it's by offering an exceptional five-year warranty that covers all components of the caravan, not just the frame, chassis and body.
The new Pathfinder caravans are also built with harsh Aussie conditions in mind, with body construction comprising an aluminium frame, honeycomb floor and one-piece fibreglass sandwich panel roof. While for further peace of mind, each Pathfinder van is RV Leaks tested before it's handed over to its new owner.
Pathfinder Caravans is the brainchild of former Atlantic Caravans co-owner Peter Kuzmanoski, and boasts a small but experienced team behind it that includes long-time caravan operations and sales specialist Brendan Murphy.
"Every van is going to be RV Leaks tested, and certified so it gives the consumer peace of mind about the van, and we're also providing a five year warranty that covers everything on the van, not just the chassis or certain components, it's a five warranty covering the whole van," explained Murphy.
"While the brand is only new the people who are running it have been in the industry for a long time, they're not just some-one who has decided to start up a caravan manufacturing business, they're very well versed in the industry."
Pathfinder displayed all three of its latest models at the recent 2025 Geelong Outdoor Living & Caravan Expo, including the entry level Urban Trek, mid-spec Cross Trek and range-topping Terrain Trekker.
A 14ft 4in, 2660kg ATM, Urban Trek single axle couple's touring van with a few extras like a rear camera and extra lithium battery and solar panel was advertised at $75,000 tow-away, while a mid-spec 18ft 8in, 3400kg ATM, Cross Trek with off-road suspension and a spacious couple's layout was priced at $97,990 drive-away.
There was also a lavishly equipped 21ft 4in Terrain Trekker couple's van, loaded up with Stage 4 airbag suspension and a 400Ah lithium battery system with 660W rooftop solar, priced at $147,490 drive-away.
The display models were fitted with everything you'd expect in a modern luxury Aussie van, plus a few nice touches including plush leatherette upholstery, mood lighting, gold tapware and white sinks inside, and striking gold 'Pathfinder Caravans' chassis cut-outs on the outside.
Murphy said the latest 'hard-shell' construction delivers other benefits too, with the Urban Trek weighing in around 85kg lighter than a similar size timber frame van, allowing for a healthy 600kg payload.
"Pathfinder Caravans is a fulfilment of my vision and dream to produce my own vans, and I'm confident of providing a full five year warranty to every customer who buys one of my vans," Peter Kuzmanoski said.
Pathfinder Caravans already has three dealers on board, located in Victoria and NSW, and is planning to roll out more models, including one with a full fibreglass sandwich panel body.
