Paradise releases value-packed Spark motorhome

New Iveco Daily based 26ft motorhome delivers the goods at a more affordable price

Best known for its top-end, top-spec motorhomes, Gold Coast manufacturer Paradise Motorhomes has released a new entry-level 26ft motorhome model that’s loaded with premium features but at a more affordable price.

Apart from its appealing $179,000 drive-away price tag, the new rear-drive Iveco Daily-based Spark motorhome stands out for at least a couple other reasons: it’s one of few Paradise motorhomes built without a slide-out, and the open-plan floorplan is a bit different with a kitchen galley and long lounge bench/dinette running along opposite sides of the motorhome, with the 'master' bedroom including east-west island bed and separate shower and toilet towards the rear.

New Iveco-based Spark offers more affordable entry to the Paradise buyers' club

Internal storage includes two large wardrobes on each side of the bed, while six external storage ‘bins’ along the external lower sides take care of outside gear.

The kitchen is well equipped with a combination stainless steel sink, three burner cooktop, convection microwave oven and 218 litre compressor fridge, while a roof-top air-conditioner, 24in LED TV, roll-out awning, powered entry steps, four speaker Bluetooth radio, gas/electric hot water, 200Ah battery system including 300W solar panels, and 110 litre fresh water and 90 litre grey water capacity, are among the long list of standard features.

Spark layout includes east-west queen bed incorporating twin wardrobes

With a payload of 500kg, a car licence-friendly 4495kg GVM and 3500kg towing capacity, the new Paradise Spark can carry up to four passengers and offers sleeping for two.

Paradise Motorhomes’ Clint Ward said the Spark offers “outstanding value for money” compared to its rivals.

“The open plan living space combined with large rear ensuite with separate toilet and shower make it a highly desirable design for weekenders or extended travels,” he said.

Sprinter-based Oasis Platinum packs in plenty of campervan luxury for $225,000 price tag

Paradise also has a swish new campervan conversion for 2019, based on the latest rear-drive Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 419 commercial van.

Finished in striking metallic silver paint and complete with kitchen, lounge/dinette and rear ensuite, the 22ft 6in (6.9m) long Oasis Platinum campervan incorporates a driver’s side slide-out for the island queen bed, along with other desirable features like an Enerdrive 200Ah lithium battery system, satellite TV, under-floor central heating, leather upholstery, UHF radio, external clothesline and shower, Honda generator, electric awning, roof-top air-con, 150 litre compressor fridge and 170 litres' fresh water carrying capacity.

Swish Oasis Platinum interior is what you'd expect from Queensland's Paradise

However, all this campervan luxury doesn’t come cheap, with drive-away pricing of $225,000.

Both the Iveco Daily-based Spark motorhome and Sprinter-based Oasis Platinum campervan are on display at the 2019 Victorian Caravan Supershow (February 20-25) at the Melbourne Showgrounds in Flemington.
