Paradise Motorhomes is set to add a pint-sized, upmarket teardrop camper model to its line-up before the end of 2020.
Best known for its large luxury motorhomes, the Gold Coast, Queensland-based manufacturer is the first Australian distributor for Hero Campers, which is based in Denmark and builds a range of stylish teardrop-style camper trailers for global markets.
While sharing a similar compact, curved body design including recessed rear kitchen and cosy double-bed cabin with most other teardrop trailers, the Hero campers stand out with their slick, adventure-ready styling and well insulated sandwich panel construction designed for sub-zero European winters.
While full details of Australia-delivered models are still to be announced, the European-spec Hero Ranger model measures 4.82m long by 2.3m wide by 2.32m high, with a Tare weight of around 900kg and ATM up to 1300kg, depending on equipment fitted.
The Euro versions feature 17in off-road tyres, a 22 litre water tank, 200kg rated roof storage platform, 2.08m x 1.56m memory foam mattress, twin entry doors and side and roof windows,
Factory options available include an electric or gas heater, portable fridge, awning, rooftop tent, spare wheel holder, battery and solar panel.
Paradise Motorhomes' Dealer Principal Clint Ward said both on- and off-road Ranger and Traveller Hero models will be available, with the first three examples set to go on display in Australia next month at Paradise's Sydney and Gold Coast outlets, followed by the first customer deliveries in December.
Local pricing is expected to be around $40,000, depending on model and options fitted.
Ward said the Hero camper is the first of a number of imported models that Paradise plan to roll out in 2021, as the Gold Coast manufacturer aims to capitalize on the recent surge in RV sales, following renewed interest in domestic holidays due to a lack of overseas travel opportunities.
"The Hero camper range is part of our new strategy, bring luxury products to all segments of the RV market," he said.
"Over the coming 12 months we will be launching a range of new products including large family off-road and on-road caravans, an off-road hybrid caravan with slide-out, VW pop- top camper and a rough-and-ready off-road camper which will bring luxury and functionality to the younger adventurer market."
