Queensland's Paradise Motorhomes released its entry-level, Iveco-based Spark just over a year ago, but more recently the Queensland premium motorhome builder has been rolling out new dirt-road versions of the Spark based on the latest Mercedes-Benz 4x4 Sprinter cab-chassis.
Priced around $250,000, or about $70,000 more than the cheapest Iveco 'low roof' two-wheel drive version, the new Paradise Spark 4x4 motorhome pictured here features a similar two-berth layout including large island east-west walkaround double bed with 'his' and 'hers' wardobes, four-person cafe style seating, well-equipped kitchenette and roomy rear ensuite with separate shower and cassette toilet.
Among the list of standard features on the Paradise Spark 4x4 are two internal TVs (with provisions for an external TV), external gas bayonet, 190 litre compressor fridge/freezer and 2.5kg top loader washing machine, along with 150 litres fresh (and 90 litres grey) water capacity and an Enerdrive 200Ah lithium battery system with 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter and 360 watts of roof-top solar.
To make it even better suited to off-road adventures, the 7.9m long Paradise Spark 4x4 also gets U-Pol Raptor lower body paint protection, an ARB Smart Bar with Great Whites LED light bar and a Honda 2.2KVA petrol generator.
That's on top of the standard kit on the latest Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 519 4x4 V6 auto cab-chassis platform, which includes a 140kW/440Nm V6 turbo-diesel and seven-speed auto transmission and a bunch of driver aids including keyless start, crosswind assist, electronic steering assist, auto emergency braking, lane keep assist, and Mercedes's latest MBUX multimedia system with 10.25in touchscreen, satellite navigation and smart phone mirroring.
