After 17 years in business including a change of ownership, top-end Queensland RV manufacturer Paradise has celebrated the delivery of its 700th motorhome.
Like most of the 60-odd motorhomes painstakingly built by Paradise at its Gold Coast production facility each year, the 700th motorhome had a premium pricetag ($430,000) and was based on an Iveco truck cab-chassis.
The 28ft (8.5m) long Paradise Independence Platinum model featured two slide-outs to deliver a spacious interior layout comprising large leather-covered lounge/dinette and well-equipped galley, along with a 'master bedroom' with walk-around east-west queen bed, wardrobe wall and rear ensuite with washing machine.
To celebrate the occasion, Paradise staff downed tools in late-January and enjoyed a BBQ lunch while new owners Ian and Judi Downes went through the hand-over.
The 700th motorhome also marked the first Paradise motorhome to receive the RVMAP ‘seal of approval’, after Paradise recently acquired compliance accreditation from the Caravan Industry Association of Australia.
Paradise Motorhomes’ Clint Ward told caravancampingsales that four more of the flagship Independence Platinum motorhomes are currently in production at the factory, with the order book stretching out to July.
