The makers of the famous ’30 second’ tent have introduced a new, dome-style family tent with a seven person rating.
While not able to be erected nearly as fast as
OzTent's popular original versions,
the new Oxley 7 features an auto lock/release frame to speed up the process, allowing easy adjustment of the legs once the centre hub is locked in place. OzTent has also included a fly as standard with the Oxley 7, to reduce condensation build-up in the single skin tent, as well as a ‘passive ventilation system’ through the windows,.
Other features include an integrated ‘media pocket’ to hold electronic appliances, and there's an extra large attached awning that can also be closed in with the optional $299.95 wall kit.
The tent is constructed from 8 Ounce Rip-Stop Poly-Cotton Canvas, with a heat sealed PVC tub floor, aluminium frame and no-see-um window mesh.
It all rolls up into a bag measuring 122cm x 39cm x 39cm and weighing 35kg.
The erected tent measures 470cm (l) x 250cm (w) x 210cm (h), or 670cm (l) x 250cm (w) x 210cm (h) with the awning extended.
It comes with all the gear you need to set it up, including 19 guy ropes and 32 pegs, and is backed by a two year warranty.
RRP is $1299, and there’s also a smaller Oxley 5 version priced at $999.
