Available in onroad and offroad models, the company’s range of rotamoulded polyethelene campers consists of hard- and soft-floor designs. The foam sandwich construction of the polyethelene base is UV-stabilised, rustproof and colourfast, meaning it never has to be repainted. It also weighs less than 400kg.
As an avid camper, Glen understands that space in a camper trailer is at a premium, so has developed the ‘expand-a-floor’ concept. This is based on a telescopic pole system, allowing 10ft of living room floor space.
The camper is fully erected within 30 seconds by one person and there are no laces or zips. It features a sealed floor, a raised two-berth bed and large front and side meshed windows for cross ventilation. A stainless steel kitchen storage area is at the rear.
Each camper is set upon a galvanised chassis with fully moulded wheel arches. The large lockable front storage box comes as standard. Gas and water storage is handled by two large lockable side storage compartments – one for the mounted gas bottle and the other for water and/or fuel storage.
Closing the unit is straightforward and designed to ensure any sand and debris can be shaken out and not settle within the canvas when folded up. The edge of the unit is pinch moulded (similar to car doors) and held secure with easy-to-use clips. This ensures the camper is waterproof and dustproof while underway.
The Compact hard floor model measures 2.2 x 1.8m or 2.2 x 2.7m and is priced from $7500 (Dec 2004). The Fisherman soft-floor model is available in 2m or 2.7m models and is priced from $7000. A range of options and features are available.
