Old-school Jayco Dove priced under $30K

After a surprise reveal at the Sydney Supershow, Jayco has released pricing and specifications for its new limited edition Jayco Dove family wind-up camper trailer.

Standing out with its unique burgundy tent section and retro decals, the new 50th Anniversary Jayco is priced from $29,990 -- or around mid-pack in Jayco's now six-model wind-up camper trailer range.

The MY25 Dove provides sleeping for up to six people, with a slide-out double bed at each end and two interior seating and dining areas that provide another two sleeping spots.

The latest Dove tourer also includes an internal kitchenette with 95L three way fridge, two-burner cooktop and sink, while a 100Ah lithium battery, Anderson plug solar input, box awning, 80L water tank, 9kg gas bottle and gay bayonet are also standard.

While the 'signature' Burgundy canvas and 50th Anniversary decals give the new camper some vintage appeal, the interior look is all modern with Coastal Beach cabinetry and Oxford Blue doors, Aran Burren Rock bench tops, Havana Oak vinyl flooring and the choice of Oatmeal or Mushroom leatherette seating.

Optional extras include bag flys, a roof-mounted air conditioner, 200W solar panel, stereo with external speakers and a picnic table.

The Dove model was sold as both a camper trailer and pop-top at Jayco dealers for more than 35 years before being pulled from the range a few years back, and Jayco says on its website that the new Dove "is built for those who want to own a slice of the legacy — while enjoying all the conveniences of today’s tech, comfort, and reliability".

It's the second old-school model released by Jayco celebrating the brand's 50th anniversary, following the launch of the MY25 Discovery caravan and pop-tops with their alternative Dune exterior and gold wheels, in late-2024.

Just 50 of the eye-catching Dove campers will be available, and prospective buyers can register their interest on the Jayco website.
