There's a new player in the fast-growing imported off-road hybrid camper market, with Nomadic Campers setting up base in Queensland's Sunshine State with its new Norca range of well-equipped and sharply-priced couple and family models.
The new five-model Nomadic Norca line-up includes a 14ft (body length) couple's layout, along with 16ft and 18ft models available with either couple or family bunk layouts. Prices range from $63,990 to $83,990 although that doesn't include on-road costs or any delivery fees within Australia.

For that, every Norca pop-top model gets a large external kitchen with cooking facilities as well as an internal fridge and sink with mixer tap, and a fixed-wall interior with north-south king bed, convertible day-lounge with swing-away table and a combination shower/toilet, as well as a number of upmarket appliances including a Dust Reduction (DRS) unit and rooftop air-conditioner from Dometic.
Off-grid camping is taken care of with 200 litres' fresh water and 120 litre grey water storage, with at least two 150W rooftop solar panels feeding a 200Ah lithium battery system with a Projecta 2000W inverter and Bluetooth monitoring.

The off-road ready Norca range also comes standard with a Cruisemaster DO-35 coupling, ARK XO-750 jockey wheel, independent coil suspension with twin Monroe shock absorbers per wheel, 12in electric drum brakes, and 16in alloy wheels with mud terrain tyres, along with underbody spray protection and scratch-resistant urethane coated exterior panels.
The external pull-out kitchen includes a four gas burner cooker and a sink with mixer tap, plus there's a slide-out for a 96L fridge. Norca 14ft and 16ft models come standard with an internal 45L fridge, with 18ft models getting a bigger 145 litre fridge/freezer as well as a 240V microwave.

The 16ft family model gets double bunks while the 18ft model has a triple bunk set-up for the kids.
All Nomadic Norca campers boast 'timber free' construction including a hot dipped galvanised chassis, aluminium/fibreglass composite side panels, a one-piece composite roof and a honeycomb floor, while a 20in TV, 12V fan, wireless chargers, wind-out awning and an external hot/cold shower, are also included across the range.

Tare and ATM weights start at approximately 1890kg/2500kg for the 14 footer, with the 18ft models coming in at around 2450kg/3100kg.
Nomadic Campers founder Adam Mathieson is a lifelong camping enthusiast and experienced RV professional, who more recently held the role of General Manager at Swag Camper Trailers before deciding to head out and create his own range.

While a new kid on the block, Nomadic Campers is reassuring potential buyers on its website that all the Chinese-built Norca models have been designed, as well as engineered and tested to some degree in Australia, with final assembly including gas appliances, suspension, bearings, rooftop and 12V/240 electricals completed locally by qualified and licensed tradespeople.
The Norca range also complies with the latest RVS and ADR regulations, while the drawbar and chassis are covered by a lifetime warranty.

Nomadic Campers will be based at a new facility in Forest Glen on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, with four other retail outlets located in Queensland's Mackay, South Australia's Mt Barker, NSW's Lismore, and Perth in Western Australia.
