A new parks network aimed at travelling nomads on tight budgets makes its national show debut at the
Caravan & Camping Leisurefest in Bendigo, Victoria next week.
Kui Parks is a growing group of cost-effective, clean and friendly parks for nomads of all ages.
Created by experienced caravanners Bert and Kenau van Spronsen, Kui Parks has signed up its first 20 parks and aims to top 100 within a year.
Many of the ‘no frills’ parks on its books offer powered sites for $30 or less, and are unlikely to feature 'new age' attractions like jumping pillows and splash parks found at many of the premium-priced 'big chain' parks.
Bert van Spronsen said Kui Parks filled the gap between free camping and resort-style holiday parks, offering inexpensive, nomad-friendly facilities run by independent caravan park operators.
“Nomads seek cost effective and clean, friendly parks while travelling, and they do not want to pay for facilities they don’t use at the ‘destination’ parks,” he said.
“There are four key criteria nomads require – a park must be cost effective and well maintained, with clean amenities and friendly staff – and this is what they can expect at Kui Parks.
“And even nomads with young families are not always looking for resort facilities – they are more likely to visit a rock pool, go trail walking or visit unique local attractions.”
Kui Parks membership offers the assurance of parks that have all been checked out personally by the van Spronsens, plus a 10 per cent discount at each park, subject to certain conditions which Bert and Kenau are happy to explain.
A two-year membership is usually $36, but there’s a '$24 for 24 months' special membership deal at the moment. Visit the
Kui Parks website for further information.
