The Queensland-based Apollo Group is calling for help to track down five imported caravans stolen over the week-end from a holding yard in Tullamarine, Victoria.
The stolen caravans include two of the just-arrived, American-built Winnebago Minnie caravans, launched only two weeks’ ago at the Victorian Caravan Supershow.
The brazen thieves also towed away three of the latest European-built Adria caravans.
Winnebago RV CEO Luke Trouchet said he was shocked by the bold theft of the five caravans from 1A Annandale Road, Tullamarine, and urges anyone who has information to come forward.
“The theft would have been a major operation at our yard on Sunday night or early Monday morning requiring at least five vehicles with tow bars to tow those five caravans away, so we hope someone can recall seeing it and can help us and police with their investigations,” he said.
Trochet said the silver grey colouring and giant ‘W’ logo on the missing Winnebago Minnie caravans would make them instantly recognisable.
“None of these caravans have been delivered to buyers from the Victorian show yet, so if you see one on the road, you know it’s stolen,” he said.
The missing Adria caravans also stand out with their big front skylight windows and slick, Euro look.
“We were due to deliver these caravans to our dealerships around Australia this week, and we are desperate to track them down,” Trouchet said.
The stolen Adria caravans include a white Adora 612 DP (VIN: ZY1TA61AMFDP06850), white Adora 612 DL (VIN: ZY1TA61AMFDL06841), and white Altea 552 UP (ZY1SD55AMFUP06880),.
The stolen Winnebago models are a grey Minnie 1806 AUS (VIN: 54CA11G22F1C11284) and grey Minnie 2206 AUS (VIN: 54CA11P20F1C11459).
