Apollo-owned Windsor has added a new range of semi off-road models to its Brisbane-built composite caravan range.
Designed to be towed further off the beaten track, the new Windsor Wild caravans are available in four layouts: a 17ft 6in single axle couple's van, two 19ft 6in tandem axle couple and family variants, and a 22ft tandem axle family bunk van.
The glossy new Windsor Wild vans all come with a hot dipped galvanised steel chassis with Cruisemaster DO-35 coupling and CRS2 trailing arm coil suspension, along with 16in alloys and all-terrain tyres.
Like the Genesis touring models, the floors, walls and roof of the latest Wild dirt-road vans are constructed from a single piece structural composite panel with foam core insulation, along with gel-coated interior and exterior walls and some aluminium checkerplate external body protection to go with a front mesh stone shield.
All Wild models come well equipped with a range of appliances including a rooftop air conditioner, four-hob stove, 188L three-way fridge, washing machine, 20L water heater, 25L microwave, a 24in TV and audio system, and a water filter.
They also come standard with a 120Ah AGM battery and 190W rooftop solar, together with two 82L fresh water tanks and twin 9kg gas bottles.
Weights are on the light side for their size, and range from 1950kg Tare/2500kg ATM for the entry-level Wild 176RD, to 2455kg Tare/3200kg ATM for the biggest Wild 220MD family model.
Options available include an additional 120Ah AGM battery, rear camera, front toolbox, and an 82L grey water tank.
The Windsor Wild caravans made their public debut at the 2023 Melbourne Leisurefest, where a range-topping Wild 220MD four-berth family bunk model was advertised for $92,290,
