Complete Campsite is weeks’ away from releasing a Track Trailer Tvan competitor.
The new Exodus 9 will sit under the larger Exodus 11 (pictured) and Exodus 14 models in Complete Campsite’s ‘non-canvas’ premium off-road fibreglass caravan range, with pricing from $49,000.
“It’s shorter and a little bit narrower (than the Exodus 11),” said Complete Campsite managing director Grant Joyce. “We’ve built it to go head-to-head with Tvan.”
Unlike the similar-sized, go-anywhere hardtop Tvan though, Joyce said the 9ft long (body) Exodus 9 will offer more interior space and storage options.
“Unlike the Tvan you will be able to stand inside and get changed rather than having to lie down or erect the outside tent,” he said.
The interior will include a queen bed, two seats, and cupboards, while externally it will get a similar slide-out kitchen to other Exodus models along with a few extras like two solar panels and full wrap-around awning.
Joyce said the list of standard equipment will make it very competitive with similarly-priced Tvan models, although it will have a slightly heavier Tare weight than the Tvan of 1100kg (but greater payload up to 900kg).
“I’ve looked at what the Tvan has for under $50,000, and we’ve put in a couple of extras on top of what they’ve got,” he said.
Joyce said the first, optioned-up Exodus 9 is close to being completed at its Lisarow, NSW factory, and if finished in time will make its debut on Complete Campsite's stand at the upcoming Adelaide 4WD & Adventure Show at Adelaide Showground on October 24-26.
