New Talvor models for Sydney show

Fast-growing Queensland manufacturer set to roll out nine new caravans and motorhomes at Sydney Supershow

Queensland-based RV manufacturer Talvor will show off  its recently expanded 2012 range, including four new caravans and five new motorhomes at the NSW Caravan, Camping, RV & Holiday Supershow, at Rosehill Racecourse from April 21-29.

It’s the first time Sydneysiders will get the chance to see the full Talvor line-up in the one place, including Talvor’s first ever slide-out motorhome, following an impressive display at last month’s Melbourne Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow at Caufield Racecourse (pictured).

Showgoers will get the chance to clamber through the expanded, seven-model range of fibreglass caravans which include the innovative 5.5m 550A which has an electric pull-down bed and retails from $55,000.

Along with smooth fibreglass styling the Talvor caravans benefit from new internal layouts, higher grade cabinetry, revised LED lighting configurations, washing machines (in some models) and a new range of soft furnishings including a leather option.

According to Talvor CEO Luke Trouchet the needs of the over-50’s market have been kept in mind with the fitment of larger handles, large drawers to replace cupboards, easy access spare wheels and external gas bottles.

Examples of the three new fixed bed motorhomes – the Ascot, Newstead and Hamilton, available on either VW or Mercedes drivetrains and in either B-class or C-class (with or without beds over drivers cab) configurations – will also be on display. They also feature new soft and hard interior furnishings.

Trouchet said the latest range was developed as a result of “intense market and industry consultation” and “is absolutely competitive in terms of price, features and specifications”.

He said Talvor’s parent company, Apollo Motorhome Holidays, had provided access to global buying power for the new range, enabling higher quality and better variety of fixtures, while reducing prices. Talvor aims to manufacture more than 800 motorhomes at its Brisbane factory in 2012.

Talvor’s RV range kicks off with the compact Hippie Camper at $39,990, topping out with the range-topping Hayman priced at $148,990.

As a part of its expansion plans the company recently opened two new dealer outlets in Townsville and Hobart, covering the far north Queensland and Tasmanian markets.
