Another new luxury RV resort village, specifically aimed at grey nomads with large caravans, has opened its first display home in Hervey Bay.
The $140 million Latitude25 development at Spring Bay, Nikenbah, is the latest RV village to be established on Queensland’s Fraser Coast. It's about 30km from RV Homebase, which was launched in 2010 as Queensland’s only master-planned, over-50s RV village.
Like RV Homebase, Latitude25 is offering a variety of house packages, most with huge garages that deliver a 3.6m garage door height and enough floorspace to easily back in a LandCruiser hooked up to a large caravan.
The self-contained homes offer at least two bedrooms and cost from $423,000. The gated community spans 20 hectares and will eventually contain up to 281 homes.
Other facilities will include a state-of-the-art clubhouse and leisure centre, two lakes, green open space, picnic areas, full-size tennis courts, a bowling green, golf chipping and putting green, billiard room, arts and crafts and games rooms, a gym, pool, and a catering kitchen and bar.
For residents on the road, the village will also offer a mail collection and forwarding service. There will also be a library, off-leash dog area and 'wellness' centre for residents to use.
Like RV Homebase, the Latitude25 development will have a big wash bay for cleaning the largest RVs, as well as additional RV spaces connected to utilities for when family and friends visit.
As an 'early bird' incentive, the developers are offering a free 3.5Kw Solahart system to residents who purchase into Stage 1 of Latitude25 in 2018.
