New product: OzTent RS-1

Baby, 30 second OzTent released for swag enthusiasts

The company behind the famous ’30 second’ OzTent is releasing a baby version for swag enthusiasts.

Available from mid-January, the OzTent RS-1 Swag has many of the features of the bigger Oztent range, including the patented ’30 second’ aluminium built-in, fold-out frame, integral awning, waterproof ‘Modcan’ tent material, no-see-um mesh fly screens and 350g PVC floor.

It comes with a built-in mattress in king single size only, measuring 215cm wide by 100cm deep by 105cm high when set up. The packed size is 165cm long by 68cm wide by 14cm high. It weighs 14kg, or about 4kg lighter than the RV-2 tent.

“We have taken our revolutionary 30 second frame and turned it into a Swag. No more rolling out your bulky swag and inserting those tricky poles,” the company says.

The RS-1 comes with a foldable - and super comfy - 25mm mattress that also packs into the bag. Just like the original Oztent RV, the RS-1 also comes with attached guy ropes, heavy duty pegs, a robust carry bag and a 2 year warranty.

It’s priced at $599.95, from the OzTent website.
