RVM Australia and the Caravan, RV & Accommodation Industry of Australia (CRVA) have taken another step towards creating a single, unified entity.
After establishing a working group last year, the boards of the RVMA and CRVA recently agreed “unanimously to support the merger of the two organisations to create one national peak industry body”.
Both organizations are now seeking endorsement from their members, ahead of the planned commencement of the new national body, to be called the Caravan Industry Association of Australia, on July 1.
The peak body for Australian RV manufacturers, RVM Australia, currently has around 80 manufacturer members while the CRVA, represents around 4000 industry businesses.
According to a joint statement, the primary purpose of the new body will be to “create a single and powerful industry voice to government and media, achieve stronger links between state and national, drive growth and combat non-compliance within the industry”.
