A number of new and updated models will be revealed for the first time at this year’s NSW Caravan, Camping, RV and Holiday Supershow, which runs from April 26 to May 4 at Rosehill Racecourse in Paramatta.
Making its first appearance at a major Australian RV show, the Australian importer of US-built Airstream caravans is set to launch a smaller, third model Down Under at the popular Sydney show.
The new entry-level, single-axle Sport 579 caravan should not only be lighter and easier to tow than tandem axle Airstream models but also the first Australian-spec Airstream available for less than $100,000.
NSW motorhome specialist Trakka will also unveil a 2014 update of its Fiat Ducato-based Torino campervan, with the biggest change a more flexible rear bed arrangement. In place of the previous fixed east-west double bed is a new north-south double bed that can be split to form two separate beds or used as another lounge/dining setting.
Trakka will also display its new range-topping Sprinter-based Trakkaway 800 motorhome which not only features a striking black/silver exterior but space-saving features like a rear-slide double bed and Trakka’s clever Switch-Mode shower/toilet.
Also on display for the first time at the Sydney Supershow will be the British-Australian developed Opus camper, which takes a fresh approach to camper trailer design with its unique, pram-like unfolding mechanism.
Supershow organiser the NSW Caravan and Camping Industry Association, said there will be more than 300 exhibitors at Rosehill Racecourse, spruiking a wide range of products and services from the Australian RV and tourism industries.
As well as a variety of entertainment, seminars and food stalls, showgoers will also get the chance to win an Elite Luxury Class 180 caravan valued at $59,500 as part of the annual Passport competition.
Tickets are available from the Supershow website or at the gate, and cost $20 for adults, $15 concession or children under 16 are free if accompanied by an adult.
