Stalwart Australian camper trailer manufacturer Cub Campers has moved its main Melbourne dealership from Campbellfield to Track Trailer’s Outback HQ in Bayswater.
The NSW manufacturer, which is celebrating 50 years in business, effectively replaces Bolwell at the Bayswater outlet, joining Track Trailer, James Baroud, ARB, Hema and Hayman Reece product ranges in the Dorset Road showroom.
Bolwell is understood to be now selling its Edge caravan and AIR folding wall camper trailer directly from its Seaford, Victoria, headquarters.
Marketing Manager Lloyd Waldron said Outback HQ’s strategy has been to have a complete offering for serious Outback travellers and Cub, as an ‘all-Australian’ brand, fitted perfectly into its portfolio.
“Its products are of high quality, exhibit innovative features and are competitive in the market, while offering a complementary range to Track Trailers that have been the foundation of our offering,” he said.
“We share a similar philosophy. Track Trailer have had a long-term, very positive relationship with Cub, including through the Camper Trailer Guild, which was started by Cub’s founder, Roger Fagan.”
Cub CEO Simon McMillan said that with the growth Cub have had in 2018, partnering with a new dealer in Victoria (Cub has another Victorian outlet in Pakenham) was essential in order to meet its volume and service demand within the state.
“Outback HQ was an obvious choice for us due to our shared values of providing quality, Australian-made products to the camping market,” he said.
“After 50 years in business, we’ve built a reputation with our customers whereby we are known not only for the high quality of our camper trailers, but also for our after-sales service.
“Our positive relationship with Track Trailer and OBHQ in the past allowed us to choose a partner that we were confident would uphold the high standards that our customers have come to expect from us.”
Cub Campers will be a major feature of the OBHQ annual open day, which this year will be held on November 17.
