Geelong, Victoria-based Achtung Camper is the latest Aussie campervan converter to add a cut-price LDV van-based model to its range.
Achtung's new LDV Deliver 9 Motorhome comes loaded up with just about everything you need for a few days or even weeks away, with a lounge-dinette and optional drop-down north-south facing double bed with 1.95m x 1.75m mattress at the rear, along with a combination shower and toilet, and an internal kitchenette.
The base conversion cost (not including the vehicle) starts at around $84,000, which includes the furniture, carpet, extra windows and insulation fit-out, a 200Ah lithium battery system with Redarc charger and 2000W inverter, sink with tap and water filter, induction cooktop, 80L fridge, 100L fresh water and 80L grey water tanks, diesel water and space heater, and the enclosed ensuite with vanity, sink and composting toilet.
Quite a few optional extras are available including solar panels, a microwave, air-conditioner, TV, roll-out awning and either a manually operated or power-assisted drop-down double bed.
The Euro-inspired interior fit-out including the handcrafted plywood cabinetry was designed in conjunction with tiny home architect firm, Winter Architecture, with a choice of bespoke custom fabric seating and various storage options available.
The Achtung LDV Motorhome offers seating for up to four people with optional rear seat-belts, and sleeping for up to three with the option of another single bed up the front.
Measuring almost 6.0m long and 2.9m high, the latest LDV Deliver 9 panel van is powered by a 128kW/420Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine with eight-speed auto transmission, and is backed by a seven-year/200,000kms warranty with LDV Roadside Assist included.
Achtung Camper says buyers can expect to pay around $142,000 on average for a full turn-key LDV Deliver 9 Motorhome, depending on the specification level chosen for the base vehicle and the number of Achtung option boxes ticked.
To further entice buyers Achtung is currently offering a $4500 discount on any LDV Motorhome ordered in May.
Operating now for close to 10 years from a small factory in Geelong, Victoria, Achtung currently offers six different campervan and motorhome conversions, based on Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Ford and LDV base vehicles.
