Queensland's Paradise Motorhomes has unveiled a new upmarket Kombi-style campervan complete with a unique pop-top roof that incorporates a 270 degree open-air viewing platform along with a second double bed.
Displayed alongside its new Pinnacle caravan at the Let's Go Brisbane Caravan & Outdoor Sale, the new Paradise Panoramic campervan is based on the Volkswagen Transporter 4Motion LWB model and will be built at Paradise's Gold Coast factory alongside its more upmarket campervans and motorhomes.
Priced around $110,000, the new all-wheel drive campervan is loaded with features including an electric lounge/bed and diesel cooktop, but its 'party trick' is the fitment of a UK-sourced HiLo Sport pop-top roof that delivers advantages compared to rival pop-tops.
According to the UK manufacturers, the HiLo roof delivers a slick, low-profile design when closed, while the roof lifts up on gas struts to deliver the "longest, widest walking-standing area of any camper conversion".
A gas strut assisted two berth bi-fold bed in the roof increases the campervan's sleeping capacity to four, while a multi-zip window design provides an off-the ground, open air viewing platform in fine weather.
Designed to fit both SWB and LWB versions of the Volkswagen Transporter, the HiLo campervan roof will also be available separately from Paradise Motorhomes which has become the Australian distributor.
Other standard features on the new Paradise Panoramic campervan includes a filtered water tap, 50 litre fresh water tank, 80 litre fridge, wind-out awning, electro-magnetic auto-closing drawers, 12V fan, 19in TV, and a 100Ah battery with 40amp charger and DC-DC charger.
Paradise Motorhomes' Clint Ward described the new Panoramic model as a "four berth luxury campervan complete with diesel cooktop and HiLo roof which opens up to allow an open air platform to enjoy uninterrupted panoramic views".
The Paradise Panoramic is also available with the entry-level Transporter 2WD van priced from $85,000 plus on-road costs, with a number of options available including lithium batteries and solar panels.
