Innovative Melbourne composite specialist Centaur Products has expanded its lightweight caravan range with a new larger ‘family friendly’ model called the Karavané.
The five-metre internal length Karavané differs from its sister Karakampa models in having a rear side, instead of rear panel entry door.
It uses its extra 500mm internal length to house the buyer’s choice of a very large combined shower/toilet ensuite, or double bunks, along with more bench space and a larger sink.
Larger windows, an extra skylight plus a full sized separate vanity and shaving cabinet further distinguish the Karavané (believed to be caravan in Bosnian) from its Centaur siblings, while its island double bed – or alternative twin single beds – are now surrounded by plush carpet for extra comfort.
A queen-size bed is a new option.
The Karavané retains the lightweight features of other Centaur models and tips the scales 220kg heavier than the Karakampa Series II at 1600kg tare, with an impressive 500kg payload.
It also costs more at a RRP of $55,495, whereas the Karakampa Series II costs in the high $40,000 bracket, depending on options.
