New electric brake controller comes packed with trick tech including one-touch automatic sway controlRedarc Electronics says it's "raised the bar in trailer safety and towing performance" with the release of a new Australian-made, range-topping electronic brake controller that boasts a user-friendly automatic sway control feature.
Priced at $769 on the Redarc website, the South Australian manufacturer says its new Tow-Pro Link EBC unit delivers "class-leading sway control" thanks to new 'SwayStop Plus' trailer sway stabilisation technology that provides automatic sway control at the push of a button.
"Instantly regain control in a trailer sway incident with the touch of a button," Redarc Tow-Pro Product Manager Jaidan Watson explained.
"Tow-Pro Link applies the trailer brakes automatically until sway is stabilised, so you can keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road."
Redarc says the new unit also boasts a "class-leading" six-axis motion sensor that ensures "smooth braking, precise control and fast calibration under any condition".
The new EBC comes with dual braking modes: Everyday Mode for proportional braking for most conditions, and Manual Off-Road Mode for full user control in steep, muddy, or rugged terrain.
Installation has also been made easier for both specialist installers and DIYers, with no extensive vehicle modifications required.
"Thanks to its USB-powered remote head and Bluetooth-enabled smartphone control, set-up times are up to 50% faster than other leading brake controllers," Watson said.
Th new Tow-Pro Link is designed to mount discreetly near the tow bar, and it comes packed in a compact, ultrasonic-welded enclosure that shields the internal electronics from water, gravel, and road debris.
Other features include an LED light bar display with real-time feedback on braking force and gain settings, plus/minus adjustable buttons, an auto-dimming function, and re-usable Nano adhesive tape to secure the USB remote in place.
There's also a free Tow-Pro App, that provides access to gain control, fault history, device info, and firmware updates.
