New gear: Rhino-Rack ReconnDeck
Cram more camping gear into the back of the ute with new raised rack systemAftermarket vehicles accessories specialist Rhino-Rack is rolling out a new product designed to let ute owners carry more gear safely in the rear tub during outdoor adventures.
The new Rhino-Rack Reconn-Deck ute bed system consists of four removable towers, plus crossbars or platforms, that deliver a fixed storage load height of 280mm.
Rhino-Rack says the system is fully customisable, with four unique set-ups available, and it's also compatible with a range of Pioneer accessories to suit different four-wheel drive adventures.
"The Reconn-Deck essentially doubles your cargo space, allowing you to mount your gear and accessories up top, while keeping your tray free to load up with bulkier cargo," Rhino-Rack's Stephen Stonehouse said.
Rhino-Rack claims the lightweight aluminium construction makes it easy to install or dismantle with the supplied tools, and there's no drilling involved. The new product was designed and engineered in Australia, and city crash and vibration tested by independent test labs.
The Reconn-Deck is currently available for Jeep Gladiator and Ram 1500 Crew Cab models fitted with tub rails, with kits for the Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux and Nissan Navara utes available shortly. More details here.
