Looking for a high-performance battery solar charging solution that's lightweight, portable and folds down to a compact size for easy storage when travelling?
South Australian RV electronics specialist Redarc could have the answer, with the release of a new range of ultra-portable monocrystalline solar blankets.
Available in 160, 240 and 300-watt power ratings, Redarc says the new solar blanket is "up to 40% lighter than other portable solar options but also folds down to a compact 36 x 36 x 8cm bundle, making it easy to stow away when it’s time to hit the road".
Unlike folding or fixed solar panels, Redarc says they're "easy to move around camp when chasing that elusive sunshine and due to their blanket-like construction, can be draped over the bonnet or windscreen, hung from an awning, or simply laid flat on the ground."
The Redarc solar blankets are constructed from heavy duty canvas and covered in an anti-reflective and scratch resistant ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) coating.
They also come with industry standard Anderson SB 50 connectors for 'plug-and-play' portability, and can be coupled with Redarc's GoBlock portable lithium battery pack.
Retail pricing starts at $795 for the 160W Monocrystalline Solar Blanket which weighs 4.8kg and measures 1635mm x 740mm x 2.5mm (open) and 365mm x 365mm x 70mm (closed).
The 7kg, 240W version costs $1195 and the 8.5kg, 300W range-topper is priced at $1495. They're also available as ready-to-go-camping kits including an Anderson plug and solar regulator.
