Redarc Electronics has released a more advanced new three-way charger for charging secondary batteries in four-wheel drives and recreational vehicles.
Described by the South Australian company as a "revolutionary three-way battery charger that redefines mobile power management", the new Manager Alpha is a step up in features and pricing from the popular Redarc Manager30 and is available in 50A, 75A, and 100A variants.
Like the Redarc Manager30, the new Manager Alpha can be paired with the Redvision display and allows users to charge from a combination of vehicle (DC), mains (AC), and solar simultaneously, as well as offering "ultra-fast" battery charging up to 100A.
The new mobile power manager also provides weight and packaging benefits, with Redarc claiming that "by combining AC, DC, and solar into a single unit, the Manager Alpha is 55% smaller and 28% lighter than comparable competitor systems".
The Australian-manufactured module is built to last and has been "tested to the toughest vibration standards in the world", according to Redarc.
Among its advanced charging features, the Redarc Alpha can also automatically utilize excess solar power to keep the start battery charged, or revive the start battery at the touch of a button.
“Our customers demand more power than ever, and the Alpha Manager delivers this in spades," Redarc's New Product Development Manager, Dylan Pinkard said. "Its innovative design allows for recovery or maintenance of the vehicle’s start battery, meaning one less thing to worry about and remote firmware updates ensure you’re always up to date with the latest features.”
Retail prices for the Manager Alpha kits which include a Redvision display range from $3999 to $5899, from the Redarc website.
