The Australian team behind the innovative Gusto brush blower has come up with another clever new product designed to reduce the amount of dust and dirt that enters your caravan.
Like the Gusto brush blower, the new Gusto Dust Reduction System (DRS) unit is mounted on the side wall of the caravan and, like other DRS units, creates positive pressure inside the van to reduce dust entry through gas vents and other potential entry points when travelling along unsealed Outback highways or other gravel or dirt roads.
According to Gusto Global Industries, mounting the DRS unit on the side wall rather than on the roof frees up rooftop space for more solar panels when free camping, while it also “eliminates requirements for structural reinforcing and extensive waterproofing”.
The patented, 12-14V powered Gusto DRS can be mounted on either side of the van, and is said to be “able to pressurise a caravan in seconds”. The water-resistant 6.3kg unit is available in black or white and uses a multi-layered, washable cotton gauze filter material, with replacement air filters also available.
“The compact and sleek design allows for fitment inside a standard internal cabinet. This makes the system aesthetically pleasing both outside and inside the van,” the NSW-based business says.
The Gusto DRS is currently available for pre-order with first deliveries expected around September 2023. It’s priced at $2250, which includes free shipping in Australia, on the Gusto Global Industries website.
