User-friendly new Aussie-made camping product designed for 'adventurous bums'A clever new outdoor toilet roll protector and dispensing device purpose built for "the adventurous bum" has hit the market.
Designed and manufactured in Australia, the new Dunny Buddy is designed to dispense the desired amount of paper needed without having to remove the roll from its lightweight protective case.
Described as "armour for your paper" the Victorian makers of the Dunny Buddy say its "unique registered and patented design enables the user to transport, store and use a toilet paper roll without compromise, keeping it safe from water, dirt, dampness and unravelling".
Made from a durable injection moulded case, the unit measures 120mm in length by 120mm in depth and weighs 0.204 grams.
As can be seen in the video below, the two-piece positive locking body and end cap allows for quick and easy replacement of toilet rolls, while the sliding lockable window provides easy access to the toilet paper while protecting it when not in use.
The ergonomically designed product comes with a removal, adjustable nylon carry handle to make it easy to carry around or hang up at your campsite, while the twin end plugs can be removed for other ways to store it when not in use.
"An additional central storage area provides safe keeping for items such as hand sanitiser, medication, a whistle or even a pen torch," is another feature spruiked on the Dunny Buddy website.
The makers of the Dunny Buddy say it "as not been IP Rated, but it is certainly very water resistant and will keep your paper dry in most instances".
They also say the Dunny Buddy is environmentally friendly as well as more convenient, as it replaces the need to use plastic bags.
As well as campers and RV travellers, the Dunny Buddy is being pitched at boaties, 4WD adventurers, hikers, tradies and other outdoor workers who don't want to be caught short when on the move...
