Since their introduction a few years ago, Clearview Towing Mirrors have been a popular choice for many caravanners.
But now the Melbourne-based company behind them has introduced new Powerfold versions, with an electric folding function to help avoid damage, either when out in the bush or in crowded car parks.
According to Clearview, the new Powerfold mirrors retain the same function as the current Clearview Towing Mirrors, but with the added convenience of electric folding.
The Powerfold versions also retain the same dimensions as well as ADR certification as existing Clearview models.
“In vehicles that have existing auto folding mirrors, Clearview Powerfold Mirrors will work as a plug and play product. In vehicles that do not have existing auto folding mirrors, Clearview Powerfold Mirrors can be installed with additional electrics and wiring which will allow the mirrors to fold via a switch," the company explained.
The new Powerfold Mirrors are currently available for current and older-model Toyota Landcruiser 200 Series, Holden Colorado, Isuzu Dmax and MU-X vehicles, as well as the Ford Ranger and Everest.
Clearview reckons Powerfold versions for the Toyota Landcruiser 70 Series will be available soon, followed by VW Amarok, Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Hilux, Toyota Prado and Jeep GC, over the next 12 months.
Retail pricing for the Powerfold Mirrors ranges from $1200 to $1650. depending on what extras are required such as indicator, heated, blind spot monitoring or cameras.
