Leading aftermarket towing mirror specialist Clearview has released a third model in its popular range of replacement side mirrors for caravanners and other owners of large trailers.
According to Clearview, the new Compact Mirrors "combine a more petite mirror frame with a single-lens glass to offer big vision".
Clearview says the Compact mirror sits on a double slide and slides right back into the vehicle when not towing, just like an OEM mirror.
Importantly, they don't stick out quite as far as the other Clearview models when retracted, making them less of a hassle when parking or when navigating narrower or busier streets when not towing.
They extend out as much as 180mm for towing, but have a smaller convex single mirror that measures 176mm x 179mm, instead of the slightly larger two-part mirror on other Clearview mirrors.
Clearview says the new Compact mirrors are designed to use the same holes, fittings, and wiring (when applicable) as the vehicle's original mirrors for "plug & play" installation.
"All Clearview Towing Mirrors are engineered specifically for each vehicle and feature most of the same functionality as the vehicle’s original mirrors," the company says.
Depending on the vehicle there are Manual Fold and Power Fold options, and different finishes including black, chrome and raw, for vehicle colour-matching.
