New gear: Bendix Ultimate Tow EBC

New user-friendly electric brake controller for switched-on caravanners

Aftermarket brake specialist Bendix is releasing a new electric brake controller for owners of heavy caravans, boat trailers, horse floats and other 750kg-plus trailers.

Developed and tested in Australia, Bendix says its new 12V Ultimate Tow electric brake controller features its own unique braking algorithm that ensures "superior performance and reliability in demanding local conditions".

Designed for easy installation, the new Bendix EBC boasts aluminium construction and a compact, remote head with OEM-style finish.

Built-in safety features include a manual over-ride function, LED lighting for night-time driving, and a trailer disconnection indicator.

Everything required for installation comes in the kit including 1.28m of cabling, and the unit can be fitted to most popular tow vehicles. It's also compatible with AL-KO ESC systems fitted to many caravans.

The new Bendix Ultimate Tow EBC is backed by a three year warranty and will be available from a variety of retail outlets across Australia. RRP is $259 - head to Bendix for more info.
