Collecting and transferring fresh water to your onboard tanks when travelling in remote locations is not always easy, especially with a big caravan in tow.
But a new family-owned business has come up with a neat solution to make it both simpler and quicker to fill up the jerries followed by the caravan water tanks when off-grid camping.
After two decades’ working in the water industry followed by a caravanning ‘Big Lap’ with the family, Queenslander Alan Hungerford decided to put his home-made 12V water transfer pump kit into production.
The new Adventure Pumps kits are specifically designed for the RV market and comprise two elements: a rapid-fill hose kit for filling up your water containers at the water point, and another food-grade hose with integrated 12V submersible water transfer pump, for transferring the collected water to your caravan’s water tanks.
All required attachments are included in the compact kits, and there’s the option of a high-flow water hose that delivers a maximum flow of 32 litres per minute via the continuous-duty pump.
Different kits are available to suit the different styles of water attachments and fittings on most caravans and RVs, with an optional heavy-duty Australian-made canvas bag for keeping all the components in one place also available.
The Adventure Pumps kits are designed to transfer potable or salt water and diesel fuel, but not petrol, with online pricing starting at $249.
