Sydney's Cub Campers is targeting EV and mid-size SUV owners with its latest entry-level Wollemi hybrid composite caravan, that boasts a starting Tare of just 1500kg and a 2100kg ATM.
The new Cub Wollemi is also designed to appeal to more price conscious caravan buyers shopping for an Aussie-built 'van at the lower end of the market, with pricing that starts at $69,990 for the Wollemi All-Road touring version.

However, you pay a lot more for the dirt-road variant, with an optioned-up Wollemi Off-Road displayed at the 2026 Victorian Caravan & Camping Supershow advertised at $113,640 drive-away. That included the $89,990 (Off-Road) base price, plus a bunch of options like a 300Ah lithium battery/720W solar/200L water tanks 'off grid pack' and a 3000W inverter, rooftop air-con, Cruisemaster DO-35 coupling, composting toilet, and 'black pack' wheels, Raptor coating and decals.
Both Wollemi variants have the same 3.946m (12ft 9in) internal body length, 2.04m internal width, 1.97m internal height, and 3.1m towing height.

The base Wollemi All-Road runs Cub's in-house independent suspension, with Cruisemaster XT coil suspension fitted to the Off-Road variant.
They also share a snug layout that includes a pillow-top (1960mm x 1500mm) bed up front, small dinette, kitchenette with 115L fridge, and a combination ensuite. Also included on both is Cub's full stainless steel outside kitchen, a roll-out awing and external shower.

Both Wollemi variants are constructed like other Cub 'vans with full fibreglass sandwich body panels, with the higher-priced Wollemi Off-Road also getting an extra reinforced chassis, large front toolbox with stone guard, and 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tyres. The off-road version also hits the scales at a higher 1700kg (base) Tare, and with a higher ATM of 2500kg.
The standard off-grid power package is a Redarc BMS30 system, with two 180W Redarc solar panels and a 150AH lithium battery, 100L fresh water and 50L grey water tanks and a diesel hot water/space heater, with a number of upgrades available.
As its smallest and cheapest caravan, Cub says the Wollemi All-Road is also a good option for buyers wanting to step up from a canvas camper trailer.
The MY26 Wollemi is covered by Cub’s new seven-year structural warranty and is Cub's sixth caravan model variant to hit the market since it released its first caravan in 2022.
It now offers eight different caravans on its website, ranging from $70K-$165K -- three more than the traditional canvas campers it's best known for and has been producing in some form or another since the late-1960s.
Cub is also about to launch an updated Cub C16 -- it's first ever caravan model -- which it says will replace both the MY25 C16 and L16 models.

Meanwhile in other Cub news, the 58-year-old Sydney manufacturer says it's closing its Newcastle dealership and building a new showroom and service facility at its Sydney production facility.
"Our research showed over 76% of buyers prefer the opportunity to see how their potential new camper or caravan is manufactured before making the final purchase decision," explained Cub Co-Director Scott Dillon.
"By having sales and manufacturing at the same location, customers get peace of mind that they are purchasing a quality, Australian-made product."
