The organisers of next month's Leisurefest caravan, boating and 4WD show at Melbourne’s Sandown racecourse are promising a strong line-up of exhibitors including some new caravan brands not seen before in Victoria.
Running from October 6-9, the Melbourne Leisurefest is organised jointly by the Caravan Industry Association of Victoria (CIA), Boating Industry Association of Victoria (BIA) and Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC).
"Going by the extremely strong list of exhibitors already signed up, we are going to have a remarkable offering for show patrons, no matter their area of interest," said CIA chief executive officer Robert Lucas.
"We have at least six new brands of caravans that haven’t been seen here before, an impressive four-wheel-drive showing led by Isuzu Ute Australia and several top 4WD clubs, and great new boat exhibits headlined by Crawford Marine and Ranger Tugs making their Leisurefest debuts.
Also on display will be a huge range of tents, camping gear, destinations, industry associations, electronics, lighting, safety gear and accessories.
"The new Fifth-Wheeler Precinct and Motorhome Precinct will really deliver the luxury RV wow factor, but there is just as much on offer for the budget-conscious camper, plus every price point and lifestyle option in between," Lucas said.
Other attractions will be test towing for caravans and boats down the Sandown main straight, test rides in campers and motorhomes, and 4WD demonstration rides on Sandown's off-road circuit, all with expert drivers at the wheel to keep it safe.
