Queensland's AOR says it will be the first Aussie manufacturer to introduce an 11ft hybrid camper with an internal shower and toilet, when it releases a new top-spec version of its Odyssey Series 3 hard-wall off-road camper in 2024.
The new range-topping Odyssey Signature will be the latest evolution of the original Odyssey canvas camper trailer that arrived in 2003, before morphing into a hard-wall version in 2016.
"With our new release for 2024, in the Series 3 Odyssey Signature camper we have designed even more innovation to make this a true Signature camper," Owner/Director Steve Budden said on the AOR website.
"The design features a folding internal shower/toilet/basin inside the small 11ft body as shown in the enclosed design sketches. This folding design when not in use takes up a minimal amount of room from the original internal space and is very quick and simple to use in different configurations to suit your needs.
"Also featured is an OGO composting toilet, which is housed when not in use inside the adjoining cupboard. The folding shower and basin system is made entirely of powder coated aluminium to keep weight to a minimum and has a folding shower curtain attached to the roof of the camper for privacy."
"Available as an option is a new front drawbar area layout featuring more external storage. The rear pod can be configured as an external shower or an extra room for children, etc," he said.
The new 1440kg Tare/200kg ATM, Odyssey Signature hybrid will come standard with a 300Ah lithium battery system with 1000W inverter and 350W rooftop solar, and be priced from $99,900.
As an added bonus, each camper will get an individually numbered plaque, signed by Steve Budden.
"No two Signature Odysseys will be identical and will come with all current options of colours and enhancements," he said.
