New Age releases updated 2026 range

More upmarket and family-friendly features for refreshed Melbourne-built composite and alloy frame, full height caravan line-up

New Age has given its Melbourne-built range of caravans a minor makeover for 2026, including rolling out a number of cosmetic and practical updates across its popular Manta Ray and Road Owl couple and family models.

The refreshed MY26 New Age models get more eye-catching exterior decals, along with refreshed interior colour options for doors, benchtops, and lino, and a classy standard colour scheme featuring brushed nickel hardware and chrome tapware.

Off-road Expedition variants also get higher black checker plate body protection along the sides, along with a new front toolbox and Raptor coating on the six inch chassis.

Other additions across the range include a stylish new curved robe design and acoustic timber panel headboard around the main bed, internal and external USB-C charging, and thicker 25mm benchtops and a single-bowl sink without drainer in the kitchen.

New Age has also tweaked the various Road Owl and Manta Ray layouts, primarily by relocating the kitchen and bunks (on family floorplans) to the doorside and moving the toilet to the roadside for improved space distribution.

The JB Group's Head of Retail, Jake King said the new 'flipped' layouts would particularly benefit families travelling with small children and wanting to make the most of the indoor/outdoor experience.

"Most families want privacy but they also want to make sure their kids are safe and protected," he explained.

"So at night time when you're putting the kids to bed and Mum and Dad are outside having a glass of wine or playing cards up late and the little ones aren't going to bed, a little tap on the window will ask them or remind them that they need to go to sleep."

King also said the layout re-designs would make cooking and eating outside the 'van more enjoyable.

"There's nothing worse than cooking and eating dinner at night, outside underneath the awning and you have to empty the cassette," King said. "We've moved the toilet to the roadside where we can empty the cassette and not have to worry about those little nasties."

The updates apply across all on-road, semi off road and full off-road variants of the Manta Ray and Road Owl full height models, with prices ranging from $73,990 for the 15ft Manta Ray, to $99,990 for the 21ft Road Owl Expedition.

The MY26 New Age Manta Ray and Road Owl on-road and semi-off-road variants are built with fibreglass composite bodies including composite flooring, with the top-spec off-road Expedition variants constructed with a TIG welded aluminium frame with aluminium composite side cladding and composite flooring.

While recently adding motorhomes to the line-up, the JB Group-owned New Age Caravans no longer offers a budget-priced pop-top or camper trailer model. However, the 22ft XTreme Utility toy hauler (from $110,990) and 18ft Desert Rose off-grid luxury 'van ($142,240) remain at the top of its towable RV range for 2026.
