Melbourne's New Age has expanded its range for 2020 with the addition of a new 'Walkinshaw design' pop-top version of its popular Manta Ray caravan.
New Age’s third pop-top model is the latest to emerge from the Walkinshaw design and engineering departments, and features an “all-new roof design system” that incorporates a domed composite roof panel with unique aluminium bodytop and specially designed roof surrounds, according to New Age.
The Manta Ray Poptop also benefits from a Walkinshaw-engineered hot dip galvanized chassis, along with signature rear mould with spare tyre recess and matching exterior sidewall trimming.
Timber framing and traditional ribbed aluminium side cladding is standard across the range, with smooth Alucabond sides available as part of the optional Adventurer pack.
Four Manta Ray Poptop variants are available, in three body lengths (15ft, 16ft and 18ft), all featuring a front, north-south queen bed, kitchen, lounge/dinette and rear ensuite with separate shower and toilet.
All variants are fitted as standard with beam axle suspension, 15in wheels and tyres, and 50mm ball hitch, and come with at least one 110 litre water tank, two 9kg gas bottles, internal gas cooktop and grille, gas electric hot water, 100Ah deep cycle battery and 164 litre three way fridge.
Up-spec variants also get additional items including a 150W solar panel, 24in Smart TV, BMPro sway control, additional 110 litre fresh water and 110 litre grey water tanks, radio with internal/external speakers, microwave, washing machine and a floor-mounted air-conditioner.
Pricing for the new Manta Ray Poptop starts at $52,990 for the 15ft variant, with the 16ft model starting at $57,990 and the 18 footer kicking off at $62,490.
Two extra-price options packs are also available: an Adventurer Pack that includes 14 extra features including Cruisemaster coil suspension, DO-35 hitch, A-frame toolbox, 16in wheels, inline water filter, and a reversing camera.
Ticking the Luxury Pack option gets all the Adventurer Pack features plus seven additional items including a 100Ah lithium battery and charger, Odyssey display unit, Diamond Stitch upholstery and smooth sidewall cladding.
Meanwhile, New Age has also updated both 12ft family and 13ft couple versions of its Wayfinder wind-up camper trailer for 2020. According to New Age, the 2020-model Wayfinder benefits from improved layouts including re-designed interior storage, new electrical looming system with fewer wall cables,re-designed lighter weight ABS front moulding and revised upgrade packs.
Pricing for the 2020-model Wayfinder starts at $27,990 for the 13ft two-berth Comfort model, rising to the top-spec 12ft family Adventurer Wayfinder from $37,990.
