Last year it was Jayco, but this year's Victorian Caravan Supershow will be missing another big-name caravan manufacturer with New Age choosing not to display its range of caravans and camper trailers at Victoria's biggest RV show, which runs for five days (April 6-10) at the Melbourne Showgrounds.
"With uncertainty around restrictions and the prevailing business environment with demand far outstripping supply we’ve chosen not to showcase this year," a New Age Caravans' spokesperson said.
"In consultation with our dealer group, we’re prioritising existing customers. We look forward to working with the association on the best way to promote New Age products in the future."
After missing both major Melbourne and Sydney caravan shows in 2021, Jayco has pulled out all stops to take part this year, with dealer representatives from its Mildura, Geelong and Gippsland dealers helping make up the numbers at the Jayco caravan and motorhome stands at this year's Melbourne Supershow.
Both Jayco and New Age will be exhibitors at the NSW Caravan, Camping and Holiday Supershow, to be held from April 19-24 at Sydney's Rosehill Racecourse.
More than 65 RV brands representing locally built and imported camper trailers, caravans and motorhomes will be on display at the 2022 Melbourne Supershow, along with more than 100 other RV-related businesses, which is slightly down on last year's Supershow held in mid-May.
