Big-selling Melbourne caravan manufacturer New Age has whipped the covers of its fully updated 2024 Road Owl caravan range, with four new family-focused variants now available to order and on display in coming weeks at New Age dealerships.
The new entry-level range of full-height luxury caravans are available in two family-friendly 19ft and 21ft (body length) layouts; both with either double or triple bunks and a rear corner ensuite with separate shower and toilet, and available in either standard Ensuite or Adventurer semi off-road specification.
Inside, New Age has fully modernised the Road Owl vans' interior design and fit-out, including redesigning the furniture and replacing the roof mounted downlights with LED strip lighting throughout.
Other internal improvements include adding more cushion depth and lumbar support for the dinette/lounge seating, while the microwave in the kitchen now sits in a stylish new surround that's also designed to hold the appliance in place more securely on bumpy roads.
The Road Owl's internal kitchen also gets a new recessed cooktop to extend the use of the benchtop, and there are new reading lights with three adjustable settings and wireless chargers fitted around the main bed.
Both top-spec Road Owl Adventurer models now come standard with upgraded Cruisemaster XT trailing arm coil independent suspension, fitted to a Walkinshaw designed galvanised chassis, to make the Road Owl touring vans more suitable for rough road travel.
All Road Owl variants come standard with twin 110 litre fresh water tanks and two 100Ah AGM batteries with a 200W solar rooftop panel, with lithium charger options available for off-grid camping.
Bosch Tow Assist Electronic Stability Control has also been added as a standard safety feature across the MY24 Road Owl range which also fully complies with the latest Vehicle Type Approval as per the upcoming new Road Vehicle Standards Act (RVSA).
Smooth aluminium composite panels for the sides of the new-look, timber-framed Road Owl vans are standard but front and rear smooth panels are an extra-cost option across the range.
The 2024 Road Owl vans will soon enter the production line at New Age's Epping, Victoria factory facility, with prices starting from $83,390 for the standard leaf sprung versions and from $90,990 for the coil sprung Adventurer models.
“We are delighted to launch the New Age Caravans MY24 Road Owl range to the public,
which are available to purchase through New Age Caravan dealerships Australia wide today,
with expected delivery in Q3 of this year," New Age Caravans Managing Director Chris Polites said.
“We’ve put a real family focus on the Road Owl range, with the bunk and ensuite standard in all four models. We think it provides families a fantastic caravan for wherever they want to go in Australia, at any time of year," he said.
“The exterior looks fantastic, and the updated interior ensures we are continuing to provide a market leading option at a competitive price. The inclusions on the caravan, combined with the options available, means we’ve stepped the Road Owl up a level.
“The MY24 Road Owl is the first step of our next evolution here at New Age Caravans, and
we are extremely excited about what the future holds. We can’t wait to see them right around Australia later this year."
