After unveiling a special Walkinshaw Edition camper trailer in February, Melbourne's New Age Caravans has resumed full-time production of its more mainstream Wayfinder wind-up camper trailer range.
Resplendent in new eye-catching livery, the latest two-variant Wayfinder is only available in the 12ft family layout with a manual slide-out queen bed at each end and an electrically operated pop-top roof, first seen in late-2021 on the discontinued two-berth 13ft Wayfinder version
Two equipment grades are available: an entry-level Wayfinder Base and more off-road oriented Wayfinder Adventurer.
Among the standard features on the Base are a 9kg gas bottle, 80L fresh water tank, 100Ah AGM battery system, induction cooktop, microwave, 105L compressor fridge, TV and stereo with two internal speakers, and a wireless charging pad.
The single axle Wayfinder Base rides on leaf spring suspension with 10in brakes and a 50mm ball coupling, whereas the Wayfinder Adventurer is fitted with Cruisemaster's XT independent coil suspension and a DO-35 coupling, along with 16in alloy wheels, 12in brakes and a BMPRO Sway Control unit, to make it better suited to rough road travel.
The higher specced Wayfinder Adventurer also gets an external shower, a 200W solar panel, and an extra gas bottle and 80L water tank, along with a roll-out awning, a gas bayonet, and external speakers.
No weights are listed on the New Age website for the entry level Base version but the Wayfinder Adventurer is listed with a 1560kg Tare, 1960kg ATM and 160kg ball weight at Tare.
The Wayfinder Base camper is priced from $50,990, whereas the Wayfinder Adventurer starts at $56,990.
