New Age Caravans continues to boost its nationwide dealer network, recently opening four new retail outlets in three different states, in addition to the establishment of two flagship capital city dealerships over the past 14 months.
“Customers can now buy and service their caravans locally in Griffith and Nowra in New South Wales, Darwin in the Northern Territory, and Bundaberg in Queensland," explained New Age Caravans' Dealer and Business Development Manager, Shane Holloway.
The new outlets mean New Age buyers and owners now have access to stand-alone dealerships in all states and territories in Australia (15 in total), along with a dealer in Auckland, New Zealand.
“New Age Caravans was already a strong and well-established brand in the RV market, but since the Walkinshaw Automotive Group acquired the company, interest from businesses wanting to sell our caravans has increased," Holloway said.
“In some cases, we’ve seen existing dealers relinquish other licenses to join our network and only sell New Age Caravans.
“We only manufacture and sell our caravans through our own dealer networks, so the past 12 months has been spent carefully identifying areas where dealerships would be best placed," he said.
“For example, before we opened our new dealership in Darwin, the next closest was either Townsville or Port Headland; we had no representation in the top end.
“Our new locations give us the opportunity to reach more new and existing customers around Australia.”
Holloway said New Age Caravans also recently entered an exclusive OEM arrangement with Redarc Electronics, which "will allow us to bring aftermarket fitments such as electric brakes, in-house".
“For our customers, that means they’ll be able to have aftermarket fittings done onsite at our dealerships, and they won’t have to find another supplier," he said.
“This will provide our customers with a better buying experience, and when they leave with their new caravan, everything will be ready to go.
“Many of our dealerships already offer aftermarket fittings, and we are working to make this service available at all 16 locations."
One of Australia's largest RV manufacturers, New Age Caravans builds around 2000 caravans and campers annually at its Epping, Victoria production facilities, and employs around 160 people. It's now wholly owned by the Walkinshaw Group, who have stated their goal is to become Australia's premium quality caravan manufacturer.
