New 7.0m long Winnebago motorhome debuts in Queensland
Car-licence friendly, Mercedes Sprinter-based Vista 22F two-berth motorhome lands down under, priced from $224,990Another New Zealand-built Winnebago motorhome has arrived on Australian shores, with a new Vista 22F 7.0m long B-class motorhome making its debut at the Let’s Go Explore Caravan & RV Expo in Brisbane (Oct 29-Nov 31).
Featuring a couple's ensuite layout with drop-down bed, the Vista 22F is one of three layouts in Winnebago's new Vista Series, expanding the local brand's new THL-built motorhome portfolio following the introduction of the Odyssey 40I earlier this year.
The new model is priced from RRP$224,990, and is built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine with nine-speed automatic transmission.
Kiwi-class construction
Like the larger Odyssey 40I, the new Vista 22F is built at the large THL-owned Action Manufacturing plant in Hamilton, on New Zealand's North Island, using its 'Omni Panel' composition construction method including customised gel-coated fibreglass moulded exterior panels.
Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) is a car licence-friendly 4490kg, delivering a payload of 725kg.
The Winnebago Vista 22F also gets a full-width rear ensuite, kitchen and dinette/lounge, and a range of appliances as standard including a 3kg washer/dryer, cooktop, grill and oven, 188L fridge/freezer, microwave, 2.4kW air conditioner, gas/240V hot water, water filter, reversing camera, 28in TV and stereo.
Also fitted is a 300Ah lithium house battery, 190W solar panel and Renogy central touchscreen manager, along with separate 91L fresh and grey water tanks, a roll-out awning, picnic table, and exterior shower.
The road ahead
The new 22F motorhome is sold at five RV Super Centres around Australia, and is backed by a seven-year structural warranty and three-year body and interior warranty, together with a five-year/250,000km vehicle warranty and five years' roadside assistance.
