Melbourne caravan manufacturer Network RV is the latest Australian RV builder to cater to the needs of wheelchair-bound outdoor adventurers.
Network recently unveiled its latest custom-built full-height van, dubbed 'Wheeling and Able', that was built to the specific layout and wheelchair-accessibility requirements of the customer.
As can be seen from the video below, the 23ft long caravan features an extra-wide entry door, with a special entry ramp that's raised up and down by hydraulic lifters mounted to a customised steel chassis.
Once inside, other wheelchair-friendly features include a large open floorspace with small dinette table and additional cabinetry at the rear, in lieu of the usual club lounge, while a wheelchair accessible 'wet' area between the front bedroom and living areas incorporates a large shower and curtain, separate toilet and vanity with basin.
Based in Campbellfield, Victoria, Network RV builds caravans under a number of different brand names, including NextGen, Victory, Elite and Roadhouse. and in a range of styles from smaller off-road hybrids to larger luxury vans with motorbike carriers.
