Extensive benchmarking has led to improvements to the existing Ultima line-up, such as increased depth and range, and a strengthened rotary cup mounting system that allows easy adjustment and alignment.
The Ultima 225 program includes standard halogen, halogen blue and xenon high intensity discharge (HID) lighting in both 12V and 24V, with German-made D1 globes and Generation 5 ballasts in the HID lamps to eliminate the slow-start problem common in HID lighting.
The lamps come with Free Form reflector technology, glare shields to screen stray light, virtually unbreakable polycarbonate lenses, and polycarbonate lens covers to provide additional protection. Each lamp comes pre-wired with waterproof connectors and a plug-and-play wiring loom to simplify installation for the DIY market.
Pencil and broad-beam light patterns are available in all versions and combination sets, which sell for $449 for a set of two halogens or $1299 for a set of two HIDs (prices may vary a bit among retailers).
