Mystery caravan up for grabs

Crusader set to debut new Dreamhaven giveaway 'van at big Melbourne show

Caravan Industry Victoria is giving away a 'mystery caravan' as the major prize for its final three caravan shows of the year.

The big giveaway prize in the Passport to Freedom competition at the 2025 Melbourne Leisurefest (Sept 18-21), 2025 Bendigo Leisurefest (Nov 21-23) and the inaugural 2025 Geelong Leisurefest (Nov 28-30) is a brand new Dreamhaven 15 Series Tourline Caravan, according to the competition page.

What's under the covers! All will be revealed at Sandown Racecourse on September 18

However, show organisers are yet to provide any details or the value of the Dreamhaven giveaway 'van, which hasn't been released but is set to make its public debut in Victoria at the Melbourne Leisurefest show at Sandown Racecourse.

The Dreamhaven brand name was originally used by Crusader Caravans' founder Serge Valentino when he started building caravans in 2002, and is currently used on a range of Aussie-built 'travel trailers' sold in the USA.

It's believed the big Melbourne manufacturer is preparing to launch a new homegrown range of Dreamhaven caravans across the country, in a range of body sizes including 15ft, 19ft and 20ft variants.

The all-new 'built by Crusader' Dreamhaven 'vans are also set to make an appearance at the 2025 Tasmanian Outdoor Life & Caravan Show and 2025 Sydney 4WD & Adventure Show, which both run from September 12-14 in their respective states.

Meanwhile, also making its first appearance at the 2025 Melbourne Leisurefest will be Queensland's Bruder X, which will have a display of its upmarket expedition trailers on the Off Track RV dealer stand, including its first off-road caravan, the ADX-21. The Bruder 'lite' 22ft couple's off-road 'van was launched earlier this year and currently retails from $211,200.

While also making its first appearance at the Melbourne show will be Gold Class Caravans on the Touring Hub dealer stand. Gold Class Caravans is a new RV brand offering feature-packed, fixed-price imported caravans, introduced by Brisbane-based Market Direct Group (MDG) earlier this year and sold at independent dealers.

Also at Sandown Racecourse and fresh off the factory floor will be the latest Melbourne-built Grand Caravans and new Phoenix composite models from Queensland's Sunland Caravans.

Titanium Caravans is also expected to have its new flagship off-grid caravan and toy hauler at Leisurefest, along with Stoney Creek Campers' latest budget-priced Somerset composite touring caravans, plus a new motorhome from Goldfields Campers and Caravans.

$20 adult tickets should get the punters through the gates at Sandown Racecourse

There will be a range of free activities running throughout the four-day show including an AL-KO Sway Control Demonstration out on the race track, a Kids Zone, various guest speakers on the RV Master stage, and 4WD towing demonstrations at the dirt-filled Adventure Zone.
