Melbourne's My Dream RV has entered the big league, unveiling its toughest-looking and most off-grid capable caravan since it started back in 2022.
The new range-topping MDRV Cape S1 made its debut at the 2026 Geelong Outdoor Living Caravan Expo in Victoria, with the feature-laden tandem axle couple's van described as a "a game-changer for off-road explorers" by the Epping, Victoria-based manufacturer.

The 19ft 6in example on display was priced at $152,990, and included a long list of premium features including a Cruisemaster DO-45 coupling, Stage 4 airbag suspension and 'sway control adapted' disc brakes, 16in bronze wheels with chunky Mud Contender tyres, a powered jack, 12V dust reduction system, reversing camera, electronic sway control, outside shower and an external hatch with a 32in TV.
Off-grid power is provided by a 600Ah lithium battery system with a 3000W inverter and 800W rooftop solar, controlled by a Victron Multiplus with 7in colour display, plus there are 190L fresh and 100L grey water tanks.

The aluminium frame construction includes a one-piece fibreglass roof and 'Eco' flooring, with the latest 'tough nut' look extending to aluminum J-mould and corner moulds, and a big black fabricated toolbox up front incorporating slide-outs for a generator and Weber bbq, and space for twin gas bottles.
Not to mention the obligatory aluminum fabricated rear platform bar, boasting plenty of storage spots including a sealed compartment.

Head inside and there are plenty of classy finishes, including a trick pull-out bench extension, to go with big-ticket items like a composting toilet, washing machine, 270L compressor fridge, air-con, portable induction hotplate, grille/oven, flatbed microwave and a pillowtop mattress.
The top-spec Cape S1's fit-out also picks up on the latest 2026 'Campbellfield caravan' fashion trends, including floor to ceiling orange-glow mood lighting, patterned leatherette bedhead, white sink with oversized gold tap, and sauna-style timber wall slats highlighting the entryway and lounge areas.

Like most fully loaded, Aussie-built off-road 'vans, it will require a serious tow vehicle with a Tare of 2945kg and 4000kg ATM.
While introducing a bold new exterior look to the MDRV range, buyers can still order the distinctive curved front aero design that debuted on the original entry-level Dreamcatcher model.
