Melbourne's Viscount Caravans has put some bite into its full-size caravan range with a new rough road adventure model launched at the 2022 Victorian Caravan Supershow.
Sporting a smooth gloss light grey aluminium exterior with blue ocean-themed stick-ons, the tandem axle Viscount Wild Shark on display was aimed at couples wanting a mix of luxury and semi off-road travel features, with external features fitted including a front mesh stone guard and checkerplate body protection, DO-35 coupling, 150 x 50mm Supagal chassis, AL-KO Enduro Cross Country trailing arm coil suspension, roll-out awning, two 9kg gas bottles, a gas bayonet, 15in alloys with all-terrain rubber, and 95 litre fresh water and 62 litre grey water tanks.
Inside, the smart and spacious couple's layout included a north-south queen bed, cafe dinette, and full width rear ensuite with separate shower and toilet, along with a kitchen fitted with four hob cooktop, grille and oven, microwave, sink with mixer tap and 175 litre three-way fridge/freezer.
Other features on the display van included a 2.5kg washing machine, 28 litre gas/electric hot water unit, rooftop air conditioner, 24in TV/DVD and antenna, Bluetooth radio, reversing camera, water filter, and a 100Ah AGM battery with 25A charger and 135W rooftop solar panel.
The Viscount Wild Shark V3.2 'van on display had a driveaway price of $76,390, with the big fixed height van boasting an 8.3m overall length, 3.02m external height, and 2.0m internal height, along with an 2508kg Tare, 3008kg ATM and ball weight (Tare) of 189kg.
Dating back to the mid-1950s, Viscount caravans are now built by Melbourne's Concept Caravans and sold at 10 dealers around Australia.
